Advanced Insights - How to use the Max function to report most recent status change

Modified on Wed, 9 Oct at 1:43 PM

If you are reporting historical status changes with a date and timestamp (failed: Status Created Date), then you may encounter multiple lines for one candidate / applicant.

This might be explained by being for different statuses, or different job applications. However, if these have been accounted for and there are still multiple status changes recorded, it will likely be caused by a user moving the candidate / applicant to the same stage in the process more than once.

If only the most recent application status change is desired, then the Max option within the Aggregation function can do this.

As this is an Aggregation function, this will negate the ability to use another Aggregation function on the same column (such as Count). The other Aggregation function should be applied to another column.

If the column in question is subject to a calculation using the Advanced Function in the same menu, then in the subsequent calculation field there is a Max option that can be applied.
