Gaps in Employment feature

Note: This is an optional feature that requires activation - please contact our helpdesk team who will be happy to help.


When setting this up, please ensure the employment tab within application form/s use system standard Date From and Date To as below:


 

When a candidate is completing their application, the alert appears as an extra box (please see below). The candidate is prompted to add a 'reason for gap'.The Employment Gaps feature automatically calculates any gaps in a candidate’s employment history of greater than 30 days and prompts them to enter a reason for the gap.

 

When a candidate has provided a gap reason, then a ‘gap’ icon (highlighted below) is displayed on the client-side list of candidates page. The details are also presented in the candidate's employment record section.


Please note: This functionality will not prevent a candidate applying. 

It is designed to prompt candidates to provide a reason as to why they have a gap in their employment history.

Once this feature has been activated, this will be mandatory for candidates that have a gap in employment.
