FAQs

What’s the difference between a Non-Scored Assessment Form and a Scored Assessment Form?

Non-Scored Assessment Forms are used to gather candidate information or insights without applying any scoring or pass/fail logic. They may include choice, text, or rating questions, but these are for information only.

In contrast, Scored Assessment Forms are designed to allocate points to candidate responses. These scores are then used to evaluate and compare candidates, often with pass marks configured.

Do I need to complete the Total Score field on a Non-Scored Assessment Form?

No. The Total Score field appears by default for Assessment Forms but can be left blank if you’re not using scoring. It won’t affect how the form works unless scoring is enabled on individual questions.

Can I reuse questions from the Question Bank?

Yes. You can search the Question Bank and copy existing questions into your Assessment Form using the Copy button.

What types of questions can I include in a Non-Scored Assessment Form?

You can add the following question types:

  • Choice
  • Text
  • Rating
  • Order of Importance
  • Matrix Table

Each question can be configured with instructions, selection rules, word limits and layout preferences.

Can I control how many answers a candidate selects for multiple choice questions?

Yes. If multiple answers are allowed, use the “Select total options” setting to define the selection rules:

  • No limit – Candidate can select any number of options
  • Equal to – Candidate must select exactly the specified number
  • At most – Candidate can select up to and including the specified number

Can I preview the form before attaching it to a job?

Yes. Use the Preview button during job setup to view the content and layout of the form before saving.

Can I edit a Non-Scored Assessment Form after it’s been added to a job?

Yes, you can edit the form. However, if the job is already live or candidates have started completing the form, be cautious when making changes to avoid inconsistencies in what candidates see or answer.

Do I need to enter a pass mark?

No. For Non-Scored Assessment Forms, pass marks and percentage thresholds are not required and can be left blank.

Can I set a word limit on text questions?

Yes. You can set a custom word limit for each text question. If no limit is set, all text-based assessment questions will default to a maximum of 1,000 words.
