Social media RSS feeds
We provide RSS Feeds to connect the feed of jobs to your company or personal LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. Theoretically, these feeds can be posted anywhere online - within the Jobtrain system this is for LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook tick boxes.
In some cases, you may be able to directly connect this feed within your social media accounts, but in most cases, our experience is a piece of middleware needs to be used. The middleware acts as a conduit, receiving our feed and posting it onto your social media accounts as a status update.
For the benefit of these instructions, we are referring to a middleware service called dlvr.it which, as part of its basic plan, offers 10 postings per day free of charge, with higher posting allowances available for a fee.
Tip: Jobs posted to social media sites via this method are shared as status posts rather than listed jobs. If you wish to post to LinkedIn and for the jobs to appear as job listings (whether that be free job posts or premium job slots) we recommend utilising our job board multi posting feature. Please speak to your Client Success Consultant or our support team to find out more.
There are alternative providers to dlvr.it to manage social media postings so you may wish to shop around.
In the case of dlvr.it, or any other provider you choose to use, these are third parties and are in no way connected to Jobtrain. Whilst your Client Success Consultant can advise you on best practice in utilising these tools to support your recruitment, they or Jobtrain cannot advise on, or be held responsible for, technical or commercial services provided by these third parties.
Is there a cost to post jobs using Dlvr.it?
No, there is no cost associated with using this provider if you sign up for the free Basic plan. The basic dlvr.it package allows you to set up posting to two social media platforms.
It’s worth noting that users on dlvr.it's free Basic plan are limited to 50 posts per social profile per month.
How long does it take for jobs to appear on social media when posted via dlvr.it?
Up to 3 hours for the Basic plan. If you have upgraded your dlvr.it account, it’s every 30 mins.
