Reducing unconscious bias in advertising

Microsoft Azure OpenAI includes advanced tools and frameworks designed to reduce bias in AI models, promoting fairness and inclusivity in automated processes like recruitment and content generation.

In addition to this, the prompts generated by Jobtrain’s AI features are optimised to reduce bias based on protected attributes and promote inclusion and diversity in job adverts and candidate assessment. 

AI features at a glance

Activation

AI features are enabled by default for all Jobtrain clients.

To opt out of AI tools (or re-enable having previously opted out), contact the Jobtrain Support Team.

Security Role setup

To enable access to AI job advert generation:

• Go to Settings > Security Roles > Create/Update Jobs
• Enable: AI Advert Copy 

This will display the AI Job Advert Generator on the Advert page during the Add a Job process.

Additional access

AI functionality in the following areas is not restricted by Security Roles and will automatically be enabled for any user with full settings access to these features:

• Settings > Assessment Forms — You can generate or recommend assessment questions using AI.
• Settings > Media Library — You can use AI-generated media to add images to your media library.

AI Credits

AI tools are currently available as part of an introductory free trial.

• Each client account is allocated an initial pool of free AI Credits to explore and evaluate the tools.
• A tiered pricing model for purchasing additional credits will be introduced later this year (2025).
• We’ll give you advance notice before the paid model begins - and you’ll still have the option to opt out at any time.

Rate limits

To ensure fair use and performance across all clients, the following limits apply during the trial:

• Per client: 20 AI queries per hour
• Per user: 2 queries every 10 minutes
• System-wide (Azure): 1500 queries per hour across all clients

If you reach the usage limit, try again later or contact the Support Team if you need higher access.

Tracking and reporting

To help evaluate the effectiveness of AI in job advert creation, jobs that include text from the AI generator are automatically tagged for reporting in the Advanced Insights tool. This allows you to monitor adoption and assess outcomes.
