We’re excited to share the latest enhancements in Jobtrain – plus a preview of what’s coming soon.
Latest product enhancements
New CV quick access icon
We’ve introduced an optional CV column on the Candidate Listing page, providing a quick-access icon to view candidate CVs - just like in Talent Networks. The icon will only appear if a CV has been uploaded and the user has permission to view it.
Please note: This feature is optional - if you'd like this to be enabled on your site, please contact our support team to request activation.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New candidate icons now available
Veteran/Armed Forces and custom icons
We’ve added two new icons to help you quickly identify key candidate details:
- Veteran/Armed Forces icon
Automatically shown when a candidate answers “Yes” to a new standard question in the Personal section. - Custom icon with hover text
Triggered by a Yes/No question tailored to your needs, with optional hover text (up to 50 characters) that varies by application template.
Enhanced visibility and filtering
Icons appear on the Candidate Listing and Record pages and can be filtered via the “Icon Type” dropdown. Visibility is permission-controlled.
You can configure both icons via Settings > Application Templates. Click here for more details.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed Direct Apply: Personal details fields now supported
A new Personal Details tab has been added to the Direct Apply Application Template, allowing you to configure which fields are presented to candidates during the application process.
Where these fields are included, candidate responses will automatically populate the corresponding standard fields in Jobtrain (e.g., name, address). This means the information can now be seamlessly used in offer letters, contracts and integrations, reducing manual input and improving data consistency.
Please note: Once the questions are configured, they are immediately included in our data feed to Indeed. However, it may take up to 48 hours for Indeed to refresh their information on existing advertisements, so new fields may not appear in applications straight away.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Optional NIN validation now available
A new validation feature is available for the National Insurance Number (NIN) field in application forms. When enabled, it helps ensure only correctly formatted NINs can be submitted, with on-screen guidance provided for applicants.
Please note: This feature is optional, as the field may be used differently across sites. If you'd like this validation enabled on your site, please contact our support team to request activation.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Improved bottleneck reporting for clearer insights
We’ve updated the bottleneck dashboard to better reflect real candidate journeys through the recruitment process. Instead of relying on a fixed status path, the report now captures varied progressions - providing an accurate view of how long candidates spend in each stage.
This will help you identify potential delays, understand inefficiencies and avoid gaps or missing data in your reporting.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Manual interviews: Include screening forms in Interviewer emails
You can now choose to attach the Initial Sift and Telephone Screening forms directly to the Email to Interviewer(s) when booking a manual interview.
This removes the need to send the Candidate Pack separately, saving time and ensuring interviewers receive everything in one place.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Candidate application statuses: Candidate Email column
A new "Candidate Email" column has been added within General Settings > Candidate Application Statuses. If a candidate email is associated with a specific status, this column displays the corresponding email template name.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Accessibility Toolbar enhancements
The ReciteMe Accessibility Toolbar has been updated. This update brings a number of benefits, such as increased compliance with the latest accessibility legislation, improved UI, and new languages available for candidates to use, for a total of 134 languages. It also includes enhancements to existing features like text-to-speech, Styling, Screen Mask, Cursor Locator, and more.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Onboarding enhancements
- Candidates can now preview uploaded documents
Candidates can view their uploaded documents directly in the onboarding area via a new ‘View Uploaded Document’ link - helping them double-check submissions and reduce follow-up queries. - New preview option for Welcome Hub templates
You can now preview Welcome Hub templates instantly - no test candidate needed. Use the new preview button when editing or the eye icon on the template list to see how the content will appear to candidates. - Improved reference documentation in Gap & Concern emails
When a Gap & Concern is raised against a manually uploaded reference, the original manual reference document is now automatically included in the email, alongside the blank online form for comparison. - Coming soon: Gap & Concern details will also be included in printed and exported references, ensuring nothing gets overlooked.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Smarter Job Board Marketplace access
- Low applications alert – A new banner on the Candidate Listing page highlights vacancies with fewer than 10 applications and provides a quick route to distribute jobs via the Job Board Marketplace.
- Quick advertise button – Recruiters can now publish job adverts externally and manage job board postings directly from the Candidate Listing page using the new Advertise button. This makes it easier to advertise new roles, re-post closed jobs and adjust attraction strategies.
- Coming Soon: Boost jobs more easily – A new loudspeaker icon will appear next to “Total Applications” on live jobs, linking directly to the Job Board Marketplace with the job’s details pre-filled for faster promotion.

Coming soon…
List of Jobs improvements
- New Recruiter filter
A new filter will be added to the Recruiter column on the List of Jobs page, allowing users to quickly filter jobs by one or more recruiters without using the full job search. - Recruitment phase/stage filters
Interactive stage-cards will be introduced on the List of Jobs page to instantly filter the jobs displayed by stage: Draft, Approval, Advertised, Shortlisting, Interviewing or Offer.
Enhancements to contracts and communications
Improved image and logo management in contracts
We’re making it easier to add branding to your templates:
- You’ll be able to upload images and logos directly into the new Contract Images area in Settings.
- Each image will have a direct URL and a copy icon for quick use.
Why this is helpful:
- Easily add branding to contracts, letters and emails.
- No need to contact support for image URLs.
- Speeds up setup and works seamlessly with the text editor.
Please note: Access to upload images will automatically be enabled for all user groups who have permission to build contracts.
Copy from Word into contracts and offers
You’ll soon be able to paste content directly from Word - including tables, lists, indents and font styles - into contracts and offer letters while keeping the original formatting.
New candidate merge fields
Two new merge fields will make personalising templates easier:
- Full Candidate Name
- Full Candidate Address
In addition, the button to add fields will be relabelled to “Insert Merge Field” (currently “Insert/Update Data Field”) for clarity.
